Father Figure is my all time favorite song, so I've listened to George Michael sing this literally thousands of times since 1987. This version is surprisingly good! I think George would like it.

The most respectful stage invaders ever. My fav song off my fav album by my fav band.

The amazing thing about the Oils was that every concert they put on was like this in terms of the sheer mongrel energy they generated. Saw them on numerous occasions way back in the 1980s. In some respects, the audience were like road kill, with this huge Mack truck barreling down the highway towards them.

Amazingly tight band, the guitar parts, kickass drums. Never saw this live footage before. Been an Oils fan since 1982, got their complete catalog during the CD era (just 10-1 & Red Sails before that), never saw them live unfortunately. This makes up for it. Peace.

Wow. One of their best songs, and here it is, live! The track is so evocative of Australia, in a lot of ways. Great chords, great interplay between the guitars as per usual; awesome beat, the rap bit at the end is typical Peter Garrett style, quite unique and fits the song -- and he hits it off just like the record. The entire band is playing just like on the record, only with everything switched up a notch. Thanks for posting this.
